Isoprothiolane advances improvement of color through gibberellic acid metabolism in satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.)

چکیده

We have previously reported that the application of- used as isoprothiolane (IPT), a fungicide against rice blast- 20 to 30 days before harvest improved peel color in satsuma mandarin fruit (Citrus unshiu Marcow). However, mechanism by which IPT improves coloration is not yet fully understood. This study examined effects of on plant hormones such gibberellic acid (GA) and abscisic (ABA), carotenoid accumulation. Whole trees were treated with at 25 harvest. Concentrations acid-1 (GA1) GA4 flavedo IPT-treated significantly decreased 5 after treatment (DAT) compared untreated control. The expressions CitGA20ox1 lower than those controls DAT. CitGA3ox control ABA concentrations higher β-cryptoxanthin chlorophyll These results suggest advances accumulation through regulation endogenous GA1 based inhibition expressions. It possible can be utilized improve other citrus fruit. *These two authors contributed equally this work.

Ethylene Production by Albedo Tissue of Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.) Fruit.

Isolated albedo tissue of Satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marcovitch, cv. Owari) fruit produced a large quantity of ethylene during incubation at 26 C in the dark. When sliced, albedo tissue began producing ethylene at an increasing rate until a maximum was reached after incubation for about 30 hours. Aged albedo discs which were capable of producing ethylene, actively converted l-[U-(14)C]meth...

Parental diagnosis of satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.) revealed by nuclear and cytoplasmic markers

Satsuma mandarins (Citrus unshiu Marc.) are the predominant cultivated citrus variety in Japan. Clarification of its origin would prove valuable for citrus taxonomy and mandarin breeding programs; however, current information is limited. We applied genome-wide genotyping using a 384 citrus single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array and MARCO computer software to investigate the satsuma mandarin...

Optimization and Kinetic Studies of Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction on Polyphenols from Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus Unshiu Marc.) Leaves

The present article includes the Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction (UAE) of Citrus unsiu Marc. leaves rich in polyphenols. The best possible combinations of solvent, pH of the media, solvent/solid ratio, extraction time, extraction temperature and particle size were obtained for the maximum extraction of Total Phenolic Compounds (TPC) and Total Flavonoid Compounds (TFC) by us...

Transcriptome and Metabolome Analyses Provide Insights into the Occurrence of Peel Roughing Disorder on Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.) Fruit

Roughing disorder (RD) is a significant quality barrier in citrus fruit, prevalent on easy-peeling mandarins. As RD is not yet well-understood, this study aimed to examine the changes and synergic molecular processes involved in peel RD. Peel with RD was induced by severely defruiting Satsuma mandarin trees. Morphology observations, RNA-sequencing, and targeted and untargeted metabolic analyses...

Effect of water stress on flower-bud formation and plant hormone content of satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.)

The effect of water stress on plant hormones (GAs, IAA and ABA) level in the leaves and flower-bud formation of the satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.) trees was investigated to determine the relationship between flower-bud induction and the level of endogenous plant hormones as a result of water stress. Severe water stress (−1.5 to −2.0 MPa) in autumn, which causes heavy leaf fall, reduced ...
